In this exhibition, Janice takes us on a journey of ZEALANDIA 's parrots, with an emphasis on the juveniles, who bring hope for the recovery of their species. Since 2011, Janice has been a regular at ZEALANDIA, honing her wildlife photography skills. She particularly loves photographing parrots because they are friendly and “don't move as fast as some of the more annoying little zippy birds”. In 2014 she joined the ZEALANDIA Volunteer Storytellers, and many of you will be familiar with her work in ZEALANDIA's newsletters, social media, website, brochures and posters. For her dedication in covering ZEALANDIA's birds, in 2015 she got the opportunity to go behind the scenes with Sirocco Kākāpō for a private photo shoot—the highlight of her photography career. She has received two volunteer awards from ZEALANDIA for her contributions to wildlife advocacy through photography. Janice McKenna is an amateur wildlife and nature photographer living in Wellington, New Zealand. She shoots primarily with Canon gear and hoards camera bags. Limited edition prints are available in two sizes, printed on archival fine art paper. Please enquire at the front desk. Print 3871 More links Janice McKenna's portfolio
