A message from Board Chairman Phillip Meyer:

Further to my recent message, I would like to update you on the Board’s considerations regarding arrangements for our Annual General Meeting this year.

As you know, Wellington is operating under alert level 2 restrictions to keep people safe from Covid-19. An in-person AGM would require all attendees to be masked and socially distanced.  This has implications for the capacity of the Visitor Centre. We would not be able to accommodate all whom we expect would wish to attend our AGM in the Pāteke Room due to the social distancing requirements.

We have explored other options but have not been able to secure a viable alternative venue.

Therefore, to keep members safe, your Board has decided to have the formal AGM online on 10th November from 5:30pm.  

We realise that many of you may not be able to attend online but wish to hear a report of the year’s activities and achievements from your Board and Senior Management Team, together with a financial report and our strategy for the future.

To facilitate this for those unable to attend online, we will be conducting a member update briefing in Rātā Café where we will offer you some complimentary refreshments and discuss with you Zealandia’s progress over the reporting period and our current strategies for the future.

For your safety, the member update briefing will be held in the deck area of the café with the windows open to provide good airflow on the 11th November from 5:00pm. You will be asked to arrive with your mask on, to record your attendance on the Covid Tracer App or manually and be seated before removing your mask. You will be served at your tables by the café staff.

If you wish to attend the member update briefing, to help us with catering would you please register your attendance as indicated below. Sarah O’Sullivan, our Board Secretary will confirm your attendance at the briefing.

Although the circumstances are unusual this year, we trust the arrangements we have put in place will provide an opportunity for your Board to keep you up to date with our progress and thank you for the valuable support you have given to Zealandia over the past year.
