Winter Opening Hours

Now that the days are getting shorter, we have begun preparing for winter and will be moving to winter hours from Wednesday 1 May until Saturday 31 August..

 What does this mean?
•    The sanctuary will be open from 9am until 4.30pm, daily.
•    Last entry to the sanctuary will be at 4pm.
•    Rātā Café will continue to close at 4pm.
•    The Visitors Centre will close at 5pm.

We may need to close Valley View Track more regularly due to the danger of falling pinecones and branches on windy days and the days following wind – we understand it’s disappointing when tracks are closed but we only do so when absolutely necessary, to keep everyone safe.
