Researchers from Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington looking into attitudes and views about domestic cats and cat ownership are searching for survey respondents.

New Zealand’s only fully parasitic plant has been successfully germinated at the Lions Ōtari Native Plant Conservation Laboratory in Wellington. The milestone germination was of rare seeds gifted from Ngāti Rereahu in the first translocation to involve all six Greater Wellington iwi.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and one of the key messages being promoted this year is the power of nature – and with good reason too. 

Last week, veterinarian Rebecca Webster sampled 40 tuatara in ZEALANDIA as part of her research into a potentially deadly fungal disease.

The boldness and curiosity of North Island robins/toutouwai makes them great subjects for cognitive research, according to biologist Rachael Shaw from Victoria University.
